Scriptorium, in essence, is a space where research and storytelling intersect. It is a time-space event where research morphs into storytelling and where storytelling transforms into research.

To provide a multi-purpose, multi-dimensional, and interdisciplinary education, development, and research centre that produces, innovatively transforms, and reapplies research data from the field of existential sciences.

Research and storytelling, simply put, are searching for answers and solutions that contribute to storytelling’s transformative power.

It is an omnidirectional movement – always in flux and ever-evolving.

CURRENT PROJECTS

At the Scriptorium Research and Storytelling Centre, our projects are rooted in the belief that education, development, and research are powerful tools for transforming lives and communities. Through innovative programs, community-driven initiatives, and rigorous research, we aim to foster inclusive learning environments, support sustainable development, and preserve the rich tapestry of human stories and knowledge. Our work bridges traditional wisdom and contemporary inquiry, empowering individuals to shape their futures through education and storytelling.

Nolitha's Crèche

Nolitha Gwele has dedicated her time to caring for and educating children since 2000 at her Crèche in Kayamandi. With assistance from friends, like Brandina Mbaya (who reached out on her behalf), her daughters, and the parents who can afford the monthly fee (which is very low), they have been managing to make do, however, they now need urgent assistance.
